CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA – Four more matches were completed as the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Inter Secondary Schools Under – 15 Cricket Tournament continued yesterday Thursday, May 5.

Wins were registered for Sir Ira Simmons over SDA Academy, Leon Hess Comprehensive over Jon Odlum Secondary, Anse Ger Secondary over Grande Riviere Secondary, and Vieux Fort Comprehensive Campus B over Piaye Secondary.

At the Gros Islet Playing Field, half-centuries from Jade Emmanuel 85 not out, and Kerick Victor 69, propelled Sir Ira Simmons to 284 for 4 in their allocated 30 overs, batting first against SDA Academy.

Bowling for SDA Academy, Jenai Sorsey 2 for 54 in 5 overs.

In reply, SDA Academy was dismissed for 42 in 10 overs. Doing the damage for Sir Ira Simmons were Kerick Victory with 5 for 12 in 5 overs, and Harson Frederick 2 for 16 in 3 overs.

At the Monchy Playing Field, Leon Hess Comprehensive totally outplayed Jon Odlum Secondary, winning that encounter handsomely by 10 wickets.

Jon Odlum Secondary batting first was bowled out for 50 in 12 overs with Ernest James 17, the only batsman to reach double figures. Doing the damage with the ball for Leon Hess Comprehensive were, Jaden Elibox with 5 for 19 in 6 overs, Mateo Boulogne 2 for 4 in 2 overs Evan Deterville 2 for 9 in 3 overs.

In reply, Leon Hess Comprehensive made light work of their target finishing on 51 without loss in the 4th over, with opening batsmen Keygan Arnold and Jaden Elibox remaining on 18 not out and 14 not out respectively.

At the Dennery Playing Field, Anse Ger Secondary completed a 27-run victory over their opponent Grande Riviere Secondary.

Anse Ger Secondary taking first knock made 209 all out in 28.5 overs, with Jason Lewis making 56, Kayus Serieux 31, Noriah St Rose 26 and Kervin Wilson 17.

Bowling for Grande Riviere Secondary, Shem Cumberbatch 3 for 24 in 4 overs, Daniel Deterville 3 for 35 in 7 overs and Branerges Charles 2 for 42 in 4.5 overs.

In reply, Grande Riviere Secondary made 182 all out in 29.4 overs, with Daniel Deterville making 51 and Zante Albertie 31.

Bowling for Anse Ger Secondary, Noriah St Rose 3 for 19 in 7.4 overs and Kervin Wilson 3 for 49 in 8 overs.

At the Piaye Playing Field, home team Piaye Secondary went down to Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource by 166 runs.

Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource batting first made 237 all out in 45 overs, with Daniel Benoit top scoring with 64, Sachin Charles 37 and Zephaniah Edwin 31. Bowling for Piaye Secondary, Kelvin Francois 5 for 50 in 10 overs and Kenroy Palm 2 for 31 in 7.1 overs.

In reply, Piaye Secondary was bowled out for 71 in 20 overs, with Tristan Norbal making 20.

For Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource, the pick of the bowlers was leg spinner Zephaniah Edwin with figures of 5 for 7 in 4.1 overs including a hat trick, the 1st of the tournament so far. Zack Boulogne chipped in with 2 for 25 in 5 overs.

The tournament continues today Friday, May 6 with 2 matches. At the Gros Islet Playing Field, Entrepot Secondary comes up against Vide Bouteille Secondary and at the Monchy Playing Field, Corinth Secondary clashes with Ciceron Secondary.
