KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES; FRIDAY MARCH 09, 2018 – This Saturday March 10, 2018, affiliates of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation will gather in the SVGFF’s Conference Room for an Extra-Ordinary Meeting, scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m.

At this Extra-Ordinary Meeting, affiliates will be updated on matters such as the Calendar of Events for 2018, regional and international engagements for all national teams in 2018 including CONCACAF tournaments in 2018 and 2019 in which national will be participating, and a Review of the Club Licensing Programme.

These include the launching of the Inaugural National Inter-Club Futsal championship.

The Inter-Club Futsal Championship will be held at this time to avoid cramping too much football activity by way of competitions, into too small the period of time leading up to carnival.

Additionally affiliates will be updated on the hosting of the First, Second, and Youth Divisions, venues and fixtures for these championships, respectively.

Affiliates will also be briefed on the 2018 Premier League and National Women Football Championships respectively.

The expected fruitful discussion on this issues are expected to guide the executive and other committees of the SVGFF, on charting the way forward.

Saturday’s Extra-Ordinary Meeting will culminate with the handing out of Certificates of Registration to all clubs which have met all of the Club Licensing criteria.

It must be noted that plans are progressing smoothly for the implementation of a number of programmes and projects, expected to bring about increased benefits to the sport of football in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and by extension the OECS sub-region.
