SION HILL, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES; WEDNESDAY AUGUST 26, 2015 – Resuming on 192 for seven, Saint Lucia lost two quick wickets, and with Keddy Lesporis unable to bat, they closed the inning on 196 for nine.
Kevin Augustine was caught off Denis George for 01, and Loic Prospere quickly followed stumped off George for 02. Extras totalled 13 – one wide, six no-balls, one leg-bye, and five byes, with Dornan Edward remaining 24 not out.
Bowling for Grenada Denis George finished with six for 63 off 18.3 overs, Deron Hippolyte three for 47 off 15 overs; the only wicket takers.
With a 98 run lead, Grenada with two rain stoppages reached 108 for four with Devon Smith who came in on the fall of the third wicket, remained 42 not out, and Emmanuel Stewart 20 not out when play was called off at 1618 hours, with 50.2 overs bowled.
The first rain stoppage came at 1025 hours, and play resumed at 1337 hours, with the second at 1519 hours, but the umpires determined that weather conditions were not permitting play to continue and called it off at 1624 hours local time.
Roland Cato was caught behind by Charles off Polius for 03, Heron Campbell was trapped leg-before-wicket by Polius for 20, Denis Smith fell to Polius leg-before wicket for 05, and Andre Fletcher living a charmed life with three chances, was stumped by Charles who had missed an earlier opportunity; Fletcher departing for 14 were the four wickets to fall, in the final total of 108 for 04, with extras contributing 05.
Bowling for Saint Lucia Dalton Polius finished with figures of 15 over 6 maidens three for 36, Larry Edward 16 overs 5 maidens one for 28, Kevin Augustin 3 overs 1 maiden none for 06, Loic Prospere 1.1 overs none for 06, Dornan Edward 12 overs 03 maidens none for 24, and Tarryk Gabriel 03 overs none for 10, as rain played a significant hand in the final day’s results.
