GROS-ISLET, SAINT LUCIA – Former Saint Lucia national Under-15 cricketer, and promising all-rounder Nick Elibox was killed in a vehicular accident, earlier today Sunday February 04, 2018.
The 19-year-old resident of Bexon was pronounced dead Sunday morning when the accident occurred around 2.30 a.m. at La Retraite, Gros Islet.
The grey Suzuki Vitara that he was driving is reported to have run off the road and overturned, with Elibox sustaining massive head injuries.
Four passengers in the vehicle all of them cricketers, sustained minor injuries. Reports indicate that he was driving one of them to his home when the accident occurred.
Nick Elibox was a Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) alumnus and Woodhouse Grove scholarship player, and represented Saint Lucia at the 2012 and 2013 WINLOTT Windward Islands Under-15 Cricket Tournaments, respectively.
He also represented the Windward Islands in the Regional Under-17 cricket tournament in Trinidad and Tobago, and Saint Lucia at the 2017 WINLOTT Windward Islands Under-19 Cricket Tournament
