KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES; MONDAY MAY 07, 2018 – Oryen Velox hit home in the 40th, 52nd, and 55th minutes respectively, as System 3 squeezed past Avenues United FC to take all three points, in their top of the table Zone C clash on Saturday May 05, 2018 at Campden Park, in the third and final round of preliminary matches in the 2018 National Under-14 Club Championship.

Earlier Avenues United FC went ahead in the 16th minute courtesy a Ronaldo Kydd strike, and both teams went into the break, Avenues enjoying the 1-nil lead.

Velox equalised in the 40th minute for System 3, but Shakwon Dopwell sent Avenues ahead once more from the spot in the 43rd.

But then the two strikes by Velox in the 52nd and 55th secured the three points for System 3.

K&R Strikers had little trouble in whipping Glenside Ball Blazers 8-nil in the day’s other game at Campden Park, with four goals were scored in each half.

Jonte Francis scored a brace in the 44th and 48th, while Omarion Othley scored in the 9th, Ftizron Cresse in the 17th, Ackeem Nimbleh in the 25th, Jequan Adams 28th, Jovol O’Garro in the 40th, and Kemal Barbour in the 57th, as K&R Strikers ran away 8-nil victors.

Over at the Chilli Playing Field in the final preliminary round of Zone A matches, Owia United FC hammered DESCO FC 8-nil, led by a brace by Cody Lavia scored in the 16th and 20th, between those two goals Terronzo Lewis found the back of the nets in the 17th, Jovanti Browne in the 24th, and Jason Baptiste in the 27th to send the two combatants into the break; Owia United enjoying a 5-nil lead.

Within two minutes of the resumption, Renaido Blugh scored in the 32nd minute, and again in the 40th, and Tyrice Thomas added another in the 48th minute, as Owia United FC ran away 8-nil winners.

In other game also at the Chili Playing Field, in their match against Sparta FC, SV United opened the game’s scoring in the 12th minute, and enjoyed a 1-nil lead going into the break.

Following the resumption, Sparta FC hit back with four second half goals assisted with a brace by Raysean Mathias in the 43rd and 55th minutes, respectively.

Amron Thomas followed with a 58th minute strike, and the icing on the cake came when Saviola Blake found the back of the SV United nets in the 60th, to give Sparta FC a 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Toni Store Jugglers ended the season with another lost this time to Pride and Joy FC, 3-nil, as the 2018 National Club Under-14 Football Championship drew closer to a conclusion.
