CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA; WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 05, 2018 – Following weeks of preparation, Saint Lucia who lost the Windward Islands Under-15 cricket championship last year by a fraction of a point, has named a 17-man, squad inclusive of reserves.

Tarrique Edward who has been a fixture on the national team for the past two years, will captain the team.

His deputy will be the diminutive Royce Paul, who was one of the 2017 Windward Islands Under-15 cricket tournament’s highest wicket takers.

Also making this year’s team is the son of former West Indies Test, ODI, and Twenty captain Daren Sammy. Sammy jr., who impressed all who saw him during last year’s tournament which was held n St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The full team reads-: Tarrique Edward – captain, Royce Paul – vice captain, Daren Sammy Jr, Stephen Abraham, Denzel Frederick Arron Joseph, Jayxan Justin, Kimani Laure, Shawnil Edward, Sanjay Francis, Khan Elcock, Lee John, Jude Joseph, Jamal Lawrence, Christian Cadet, Kevin Gassie, ad David Natrum.

The long serving John Eugene will be coach, while management duties will be the responsibility of Junior Derose.

The tournament which will be contested in Saint Lucia December 09 – 18, 2018, will be played at two venues namely the Gros-Islet Playing Filed in the north of the island, and the Mindoo Phillip Park in Castries.
