BASSTERRE, ST. KITTS AND NEVIS – The ongoing Caribbean Football Union Boys’ Under-14 Challenge Series, is a developmental one in which each player must play 60 minutes before end of tournament, which is August 13th 2018.
In yesterday’s encounter, St. Vincent and the Grenadines took on Montserrat. The Vincentians create numerous scoring opportunities in both halves, while the Montserratians only had 3 shots on goal for entire game.
According to reports coming out of Warner Park where the game was played, “it was a one sided affair.”
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines team did create the chances but lacked the finishing in the final third. The constant pressure by the Vincentians won them a penalty in 60th minute, which was taken by Karanje Alexander and was saved.
Soon after the ball was cross over into the Motserrat area, and Karanje Alexander found the back of the net to make it 1-nil in the 62nd minute.
There was no addition to the score, and St. Vincent sand the Grenadines had their first win of the St. Kitts leg of the 2018 CFU Boys Under-14 Challenge Series.
